News
New datasets on E-commerce
Two new e-commerce datasets, E-commerce Sales and Digitally ordered trade by partner economy, are now available in the Data Centre. These additions expand our digital trade statistics and provide valuable insights into the evolution of online commerce both domestically and across borders.
New dataset on Theil concentration indices
We are pleased to announce that the Theil concentration indices have now been integrated into the Data Centre, enriching our data offerings with a powerful tool to measure trade concentration and inequality. The full methodology is available here.
Classification update
We are pleased to announce the annual revision of our country groupings is completed. All tables published after 20th March 2025 reflect the new classification. Should you have any comment, please let us know.
New datasets on ocean trade
In addition to the existing datasets on Ocean goods and services trade, several new datasets have been added: trade per capita, revealed comparative advantage indices, and Theil index measures of export and import concentration.
Trade-and-Transport dataset
The new Trade-and-Transport Dataset developed by UNCTAD and the World Bank is now online. It features data on the value and volume of merchandise trade from all economies of the world to 170 destination economies from 2016 to 2021.
New datasets on trade in processed food
Thanks to a joint project, UNCTAD and WHO release datasets aimed to identify trends in global food trade, examining contributions to food markets and access at the economy level by level of processing and food group.
